Chris Furia grew up with film industry in his blood; the son of writer/producer and former president of the Writers Guild of America, John Furia, Jr. He worked his way through the ranks of production, starting at age 16 as a production assistant, ultimately finding his calling in the world of production finance.
During his career, he has worked in various positions from feature estimator at New Regency Films, Head of Production Finance at the Academy Award winning Chanticleer Films and then ultimately as production controller on feature films including 2 Fast 2 Furious, Catwoman, Fantastic Four: Rise ofthe Silver Surfer (with Lucasfilm SVP, Production Jason McGatlin), The Adventures of Tintin (with Kathleen Kennedy and McGatlin), Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Star Trek: Into Darkness.
In 2012, Furia joined Kennedy and McGatlin at Lucasfilm as Vice President of Production Finance where he oversees their slate of live action content. He is an avid cyclist and auto enthusiast.
