ILM Immersive is Lucasfilm’s award-winning storytelling studio, pioneering a new era of interactive entertainment in virtual and mixed reality. Formerly known as ILMxLAB, the studio has close to a decade of unparalleled work across multiple platforms. Whether for the home or location-based, each experience allows audiences to interact with engaging characters, stories, and worlds, inviting fans everywhere to “Step Inside Our Stories.”

Based at the Lucasfilm headquarters in San Francisco with operations also in Singapore, ILM Immersive is known for a wide variety of immersive projects, including Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, Avengers: Damage Control, the award-winning Vader Immortal series, and CARNE y ARENA, the Oscar-winning VR installation directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu. The studio recently launched Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition for PlayStation VR2.

Explore the wilds of Batuu in Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge

Available now on PSVR 2 and Meta Quest, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge gives players the opportunity to live their own adventure and explore a new part of a galaxy far, far away in virtual reality. The original story features both new and iconic characters from the Star Wars galaxy with multiple styles of gameplay and difficulty settings to accommodate a wide variety of players, from Star Wars fans to VR gamers alike.

Primarily taking place between Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on the planet of Batuu, the adventure is set on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the epic new land at Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. This experience extends the storytelling of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge like never before and for the first time, at home.
