Look Out for Snakes, Traps, and Mummies in Dynamic New LEGO Indiana Jones Building Set

Get a sneak peek at one of the first LEGO Indiana Jones releases in over 10 years.

“Why did it have to be snakes?” LEGO Indiana Jones fans will soon ask that question themselves, but under more fun circumstances than our favorite adventuring archaeologist.

Lucasfilm.com is thrilled to reveal “Escape from the Lost Tomb,” a new LEGO Indiana Jones building set based on one of the most iconic moments from Raiders of the Lost Ark. In the famous sequence, Indy falls in the Well of Souls while searching for the Ark of the Covenant — and finds himself face-to-face with a hissing cobra. “Escape from the Lost Tomb,” available April 1, is among the first LEGO Indiana Jones sets to be released in over 10 years; a welcome return as Indy swings back into theaters this summer.

The 600-piece set is filled with surprises and details (and, naturally, snakes) to bring the scene to life, while allowing for exploration and play. The build includes elements of an underground temple, including the entrance and ancient wall, along with two towering Anubis statues — one of which topples, revealing a secret passage. But what’s waiting on the other side might be worse than slithering reptiles. (Eagle-eyed builders will also find an Easter egg pulled straight from the film.)

In addition, “Escape from the Lost Tomb” comes packed with exciting new minifigures, including Indy himself, Marion Ravenwood, Sallah, and a gloriously creepy mummy, plus the Ark of the Covenant.
