13TH ANNUAL TRIVIA NIGHT RAISES OVER $100K FOR LOCAL CHARITIES

Employees engage in friendly competition to fundraise for San Francisco charities!

It started as a simple penny collection for charity in 1996 and has grown to become Lucasfilm’s most cherished fundraising event.

Thirteen years ago the employee-led fundraiser transformed into an annual pub-style Trivia Night and took on a life of its own. Teams of four compete against one another–not only to win the game, but more importantly to raise the most money.

This year, to celebrate Trivia Night becoming a teenager, we all channeled our inner 13-year-old for an evening of friendly competition with the throwback theme of “Trivia Beat.” Think teen mags, pull-out posters, and slap bracelets.

Employees pooled their allowances to raise more than $102,000 for three local charities: San Francisco Mental Health, Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund, and Redwood Empire Community Fund (both in support of the Northern California fire victims), bringing the event’s lifetime fundraising total to $1.4 million, and counting!

Our local ABC station was on hand to capture the event. Check out the story here.
