Court Awards Judgment Against Indiana Jones Film Actor

Secrets of The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Protected in Court-Approved Settlement

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- An actor in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has reached a court-approved settlement with the filmmakers after violating his confidentiality agreement.

Settling a lawsuit filed by Lucasfilm Ltd., which is producing the film, the Court entered an order that Tyler Nelson, who was hired as an actor for one scene, knowingly violated the confidentiality agreement he signed as a condition of his employment when he gave an interview to a newspaper. The specific terms of the settlement between the production and Nelson are confidential.

"We ask every cast and crew member to sign a confidentiality agreement because we want to protect the movie's thrills and surprises for audiences," said Lynn Bartsch, director of business affairs for Lucasfilm Ltd. "Consequently, we think it's very important to make sure people hold to those agreements."

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be released by Paramount Pictures on Thursday, May 22, 2008.
