LucasArts Games Hitting 2003 Award Jackpot

[ LucasArts ]2003 was a banner year for LucasArts, a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software worldwide for video game console systems and PC. In addition to the successful launch of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game set in the Star Wars universe, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (PC, Xbox) earned top honors from industry publications, web sites, and fans alike. Looking ahead to fall of 2004, video-game players on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox systems will be thrust into the action of epic assaults from the Star Wars saga in Star Wars: Battlefront, an intense, open-ended multi-player action game.

Players will be able to select from one of more than 20 soldier types from four factions: Rebel Alliance, Imperial Army, Clone Army and Battle Droids. Each soldier will have specialized abilities and the freedom to use ground-based turrets found on the battlefront as well as more than 15 ground and air vehicles – including the AT-ST, X-wing and Speeder Bike.

Star Wars: Battlefront is being published by LucasArts and developed by Pandemic Studios.
